Dry Art

Not all art making needs to be messy. Building with blocks, arranging natural materials or creating sculptures with magnets are just a few examples of the dry art opportunities found at Little Bowerbird Studio.

Not only do the children enjoy creating beautiful pieces of art but at the same time they are engaging in a variety of concepts such as patterning, geometry, symmetry, height, length, width, weight, etc. Dry art opportunities give children the chance to experiment and explore scientifically as forces of nature like gravity affect their ‘sculptures’.

These works are usually temporary and it is always a joy to watch the children interpret the same materials in their own unique ways.
